Southeast Valley Turkey Trot Recommendations
One of our favorite family traditions every year is to run a Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving day. If you have any runners in the family we’ve compiled our favorite options for Turkey Trots in the Southeast Valley.
Mesa Turkey Trot
Mesa Turkey Trot is the biggest and oldest in The SE Valley. They have 5k and 10k options depending on which distance you prefer. If you beat the runner dressed as a turkey you get a certificate and bragging rights!

Gilbert Turkey Trot
Gilbert’s local Turkey Trot has a 5k options and 100% of this year’s proceeds are going to local charities.

Fat Turkey Trail Run
If trail running is more your speed you should consider the Fat Turkey Trail Run in Tempe. This was recently voted best new trail race by Phoenix New Times. Multiple distances should provide plenty of options for the family!
